"Tidal Walk" - Original abstract seascape SOLD

About: Being with yourself walking along a near empty beach at low tide. One of my favourite places is the Atlantic coastline of France. Ile de Re, Plage du Peu Bernard to be precise. The vast expanse of cool wet sand under your feet that has been carved by the retreating ocean. Leaving behind rock pools of various blues and greens each one so accompanied by jaggered half hidden rocks as if guarding these gems of nature. 
 
It is when I return to the studio and once again am alone with my memories and senses that begin by tentatively exploring perspective-space through brush direction and subtle acrylic washes. Later building up the surface, adding in intuitive marks with a paddle brush. Mindful to let go and collaborate with the canvas, paint and my emotions.
